Why the spin cycle may fail
Many machines will not enter high-speed spin until water has drained and safety conditions are met. A blocked drainage system, failed pump, unbalanced load, worn drive component, motor fault, door lock or control problem can interrupt the cycle.
Checks you can make
- Remove some items and redistribute a tangled or uneven load.
- Confirm whether water remains in the drum.
- Record any error code and the point where the cycle stops.
- Do not force the door or repeatedly run a machine making harsh mechanical noises.
How the fault is diagnosed
Diagnosis may include checking drainage first, then the lock system, drive components, motor circuit and relevant sensors. Testing the cause before ordering a part helps avoid unnecessary replacement.
